Let's highlight what thoughts J.W.'s are really having implanted into their minds at their weekly indoctrination:

Agreeing to have a Bible study or being raised around the truth [the Corporation] does not automatically mean that a person will develop a strong personal relationship with Jehovah. [the Corporation] Those unwilling to submit to Jehovah’s [the Corporation's] rulership will eventually be separated from God’s people. [their families & friends] Does this mean that those who have left the truth [the Corporation] will never be allowed to return to the congregation? Or if someone fails to dedicate his life to Jehovah, [the Corporation] will he be forever classified as someone “unsuitable”? [apostate] No. There is still a window of opportunity for such ones before the outbreak of the great tribulation. It is as if Jehovah [the Corporation] calls out to them: “Return to me, [the Corporation] and I will return to you.”"

after meticulous research here are the documented scientific pronouncements of the wtbt$.

“air baths are good for preventing colds.

what you do is strip naked mornings and evenings and then bob up and down for a while.” golden-age feb 1926 pg 310. .

i was browsing through stuff on jw.org recently and ran across some expressions that really grate on my nerves: loyal love, loving-care, and loving-kindness, as in: "please exercise loving-kindness toward your servant.

" who talks like that?

they must be relics of the fred franz era.

how do i download the watchtower 2015 to my desktop computer?

i really do need blow by blow directions.

Insert disc into your disc drive. It should run automatically - so just click on all the steps it gives you until it starts copying it to your hard drive. It will ask if you want a desktop icon. Click yes.
If it doesn't run automatically, find the disc drive on your PC, and click on the CD icon to enable you to see the file name "SETUP".
Click on that and it will do it all for you.
If you don't have a disc, you'll have to wait until someone uploads the 2015 WT Library to the net for downloading.

Thoughts on John 7:53-8:11??

i always accepted that the nwt said that these verses in john were not in the most reliable manuscripts.

i thought it was strange that while the "old" nwt at least included the verses, the "revised" nwt completely omits them.

now i'm trying to do research on my own, but my head is still spinning from all of the information i've taken in the past week.

In truth, these verses shouldn't affect anyone's faith, one way or the other.
Witnesses would do better to examine the internal & external evidence regarding the "accepted" wording of Matthew 28:19. (see http://jesus-messiah.com/apologetics/catholic/matthew2819.html)
Also, they may wish to check out John 3:16 etc. and discover that "exercising faith" is a NWT corruption of the Greek word pisteo, which means "believe", "have confidence in", or "be persuaded." (Blueletterbible.org)

My First CLAM Meeting

i carried out my monthly "cover" visit to the k.h.

tonight.

as previously discussed on this forum, the clam meeting is just a rehashed, recycled, reshuffled, & rebranded ministry school and service meeting.

BigDummy - totally in tune with all of your comments.
As for this one - An elder was giving a part a few weeks ago that required audience participation and at one point he asked a question and there was dead silence for about 30 seconds - an arrogant elder in my previous congregation got an even longer silence when he asked a question in his item. His response to the silent audience was, "Have any of you actually prepared this item??"
What a gentle & loving shepherd. He's now a CoBE!
